Glen Smith - Physiotherapist
Glen became interested in physiotherapy after receiving treatment for an ankle injury suffered whilst playing amateur football. After training at the Northern Institute, he qualified in 1994, and after locum work in local clinics set up Great Yarmouth Physical Therapy. Since graduating Glen has undertaken considerable further training in Sports Therapy, Manipulation, and Electrotherapy amongst other treatment modalities. Glen is a registered Physiotherapist with the Health Professionals Council, and is also a full member of the LCSP Register of Remedial Masseurs & Manipulative Therapists.
Despite finally hanging up his football boots, Glen has maintained a keen interest in sports injuries, but also specialises in back conditions, both chronic and acute.
When not working at the clinic, Glen divides his time between his family, paragliding, and his more frustrating hobbies of supporting Norwich City FC and the England national team.
Tanya Bensley – Therapist
Tanya joined the clinic in early 2007, and adds a range of complementary therapies to its core physiotherapy services.
Tanya qualified with ITEC in 2000 in Therapeutic Massage. In addition to gaining considerable post-graduate experience in this field, she is also fully trained in REIKI healing, in which she attained the Master/Teacher degree in 2002.
Tanya is also qualified in Reflexology, Thermo-Auricular Therapy (the therapeutic use of Hopi Ear Candles), the use of Hot Stone Therapy and in the increasingly popular treatment of Indian Head Massage.
